I'm a Disabled Veteran who simply wants to share my love for this breed with the world. After some major life changes, along with the challenges of my disability, I went through a deep depression where it became difficult to find happiness in everyday life. One day, one of my daughters mentioned getting a small, curly-haired, fluffy white dog called a Bichon Frise. We had recently lost our family dog, a Black Labrador Retriever who had plenty of energy for the kids. With the older kids already moved out, I thought a smaller dog might be a nice change of pace and help fill some of the emptiness in the house.

Fast-forward to today, and I can't imagine my life without these little cuties. Every one of them has their own unique personality. Some are sassy, some are playful, some think they're guard dogs, and others have proudly taken on the job of being our household doorbell alarm. What started as simply bringing a small dog into our home turned into a genuine love for the Bichon Frise, and now I hope to share that same love and joy with other families.
